Nigel's primary responsibility at OSU is as the
University Architect with the Long Range Facility Planning Group Brief Vita: Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Architectural Studies, University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom, Bachelor of Architecture, University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. Registered architect in the United Kingdom. Faculty at Yarmouk University in Jordan from 1982-86; visiting faculty at University of Arkansas in 1986; faculty of OSU School of Architecture since 1987. Visiting faculty in 1994 and 1995 at the Floyd Museum School of the Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa. Current academic advisor for all students of the Bachelor of Architecture program at OSU. ACSA West Central Region Director, 2000; ACSA National Board Member; CEAT Outstanding Advisor Award, 1997 Areas of Interest: Architectural design with particular interest in British, European, Middle Eastern, and classical architecture. Greek and Roman architectural history, British architectural history. Landscape design. Professor Jones maintains a private practice with a focus on residential architecture. Classes teaching/taught: Studios: ARCH 2116 & ARCH 2216, second year design studio; ARCH 3116 & ARCH 3216, third year design studio; ARCH 4117 & 4217, fourth year design studio. Lecture courses: ARCH 3073, "History and Theory of Greek and Roman Architecture"; ARCH 4083, "History and Theory of English and Early American Architecture".
