While a graduate student, Carisa was awarded the Phoenix Award from the Graduate and Professional Student Government Association at Oklahoma State University in 2004. 

Areas of Interest:  Design and analysis of concrete structures, steel structures, timber structures, and masonry structures. Special interest in classical and numerical structural analysis.
