All of Elliott’s friends and family would like to thank everyone who has found a way to donate material to the library in Elliott’s name. A large part of accepting his death is knowing that he is being remembered. The collection that is being established at the OSU library makes us all realize that he continues on through all of us, and he continues to have an influence on not just the people who knew him, but the people who have followed his path, a journey that explores culture, design, beauty and the relationship that people have with their surroundings. The intent of this project is that on a yearly basis, near the beginning of October, those of us who are able will contribute an item to the library that will help continue his search for knowledge. However, donations are welcome at any time, and the list of requested items will be kept current as much as possible. If you wish to contribute, please contact Aubre Diebolt at aubreediebolt@msn.com.
Also, thanks to the efforts of Jed Ballew and Elliott’s parents, Susan and Dan Evans, a beautiful obelisk has been erected at Elliott’s grave site at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Mulhall, Oklahoma, to commemorate Elliott’s life. Although, we believe, this monument vastly outweighs Elliott’s sense of humility, it is nothing compared to the effect that he had on everyone who knew him, and therefore, is appropriate in it’s grandeur.
