David Tobin (MARCH 1984) opened his own practice in Charlotte, NC in 1999. Tobin Dudley Architects has grown mainly with the development of college, university and private development clients with an increasing focus on public architecture, and is currently working with Carolinas Aviation Museum to develop a facility master plan, a new aircraft exhibit hall, and a large botanical garden in S. C. where they are designing sustainable, off-the-grid guest and staff facilities. They are partnering with Pei Cobb Freed & Partners for the new NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. Previous to his career in Charlotte, David worked in New York City for almost 10 years, first with James Stewart Polshek and Partners, then with I.M. Pei & Partners. |
